Isaac Rodopoulos, Export Director at Atlas Tapes recently paid us a visit and we caught up with to find out more about him and his role at Atlas Tapes.

Q. What is your title and role at Atlas Tapes and how long have you been with them?
A. I am Isaac Rodopoulos, Export Director at Atlas Tapes. My role is to run and coordinate export sales and advise on commercial matters for future projects. I’ve been with the company since 1993, starting with Lantzis SA, which later became Atlas Tapes in 2004.

Q. Can you tell me about your background and how you got to where you are today?
A. I studied marketing management at Deree American College in Athens, Greece and have worked in sales since 1987. I joined Atlas Tapes as an area export manager in 1993 and was promoted to Export Manager in 1995 and to Director in 2008.

Q. What inspired you to pursue your career?
A. My inspiration comes from my team and the success of Atlas Tapes as a leading tape manufacturer. I take pride in being able to influence and motivate my sales team and provide confidence to our customers.

Q. Can you discuss a particularly memorable experience so far in your career?
A. A memorable experience in my career was the 2011 Automechanika fair in South Africa. After a slow start, I approached a future South African partner and presented our company, which resulted in a successful partnership.

Q. What do you consider to be your greatest achievements?
A. My greatest achievement is the trust-based relationship I have built with my colleagues and customers at Atlas Tapes.

Q. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
A. If I could switch lives with anyone for a day, I would choose Vladimir Putin to end the war with Ukraine, then return to my own life to celebrate with my family.

Q. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring three things, what would they be?
A. If I were stranded on a deserted island, I would bring a knife, a box of matches, and a photo of my family to help me survive and stay motivated.

Q. What is something that you are very passionate about?
A. I am passionate about vintage motorcycles and tennis. I have been interested in motorcycles since I was 15 and have been restoring old models for the past ten years. Tennis is a sport I got involved with seven years ago and has become an addiction for me.
